Walking Time – 2.30h
Distance – 5.2mi
Total ascent – 1019ft
You could start this walk from amywhere near the centre of Buxton. I parked up on Bishops Lane.
Bishops Lane is supposedly named after George Spencer, Bishop of Madras. This is where the walk rises up and eventually into the fields.
From there it winds up to Burbage Edge, it can be very windy up there (it was when I was there) Walk alond the edge past the Trig point and then eventually drop downs through Buxton Golf Course and back into Buxton.
A nice winters day walk to blow the cobwebs away.
