Robin Hood’s Stride and Elton from Youlgreave

There is plenty of parking in Youlgreave two actual carr parks and some on street parking.

Starting out from Youlgreave past dropping down to walk alongside the River Bradford for a while going past a set of stone carved books in the wall.

This is a lovely walk that takes you through Elton where we stopped for lunch. Near the last part it takes you past Robin Hoods Stride a rock formation also known as Mock Beggar’s Mansion nearby is Nine Stones Close, a four-stone circle.

Robin Hoods Stride is popular with climbing for children.

This walk is across plenty of fields and some country lanes. The last part of the walk takes you down into Alport and again alongside the River Bradford and then back to the stasrt.
