Chatsworth Walk taking in Beeley, Pilsley and Baslow

Walking Time – 5h  – 5h 30min

Distance – 11.7mi

Total ascent  – 1640ft

This walk starts at Baslow, There is free parking but it is limited so getting there early is advised. there is a pay and display car park if not.

This walk takes you up behind Chatsworth House and past the impressive Hunting Lodge,  Viaduct and providing glimpses of Chatsworth Gardens.

In Autumn the paths are filled with the colour of the fallen leaves, we just missed the perfect time for this but there was still plenty of Autumnal colours to see.

After you leave the Chatsworth Estate the walk winds around through the pretty Peak District villages of Beeley, Pilsley Village and back to Baslow.

There are a couple of lovely pubs at Baslow – I went on this walk with my brother and I think we deserved a pint at the end of this walk but sadly the pubs were shut.

Lots of sights to take in on this walk and a few good hills to walk up and down.

An overcast day was not the ideal for photography but managed to get a few reasonable shots.
