Hartington – Crowdecote – Longnor – Sheen Walk

Walking Time – 4h – 4h.30min

Distance – 10.2mi

Total ascent  – 1364ft

Well this walk we started from Hartington but you could start from Longnor or Sheen, free parking at Hartington can be difficult, there is a pay and display car park at Hartington if it is really busy.

We had a lovely sunny day for this walk, the views are stunning along this walk and this time of year (early Summer) the fields are being mown, the cows, sheep and their youngsters enjoying the sunshine and the colours of the seasonal flowers and plants makes this walk a cracker.

There are some moderate hilly fields to walk over but worth it. If you fancy a pit stop there are pubs in Crowdecote, Longnor and Hartington.

It takes you past the site of Pilsbury Castle where all that is left is the large rock formation and a large mound, a great place to stop and take a break.

Alll in all a really nice walk, not too difficult and lots of lovely views.
